Abstract Landscape Series, a new series of paintings that capture the richness of landscapes through color and compostion.  These seasonal painting's essence and spirit stimulate the viewer's imagination to escape through vibrant, energetic scenes, and distant horizons. 

Currently in progress at the studio is Winter followed by Spring and Summer; a suite of four seasons.  This colorful suite will be published in small limited editions on canvas.  Available the first quarter of 2010.

Winter  is completed.

Spring is now layed-out.  First, I texturized the canvas to give it a three dimensional look and feel. The under painting is Cadium Yellow and Green Light oils with many coats (approx. 8-10) alternating the two colors. This gives the paintings rich color and lasting quality. Time to dry in between the layers is important.
